Well sure, in Europe you can configure pretty much everything. Here we don't get many options and so in NA it's SQ5-only trim.

Well, duh. If I had looked at the total order matrix instead of just the TDI section, I'd have discovered that very quickly. I DO like it, but not well enough to cough up the additional dinero if it actually was offered as a stand-alone choice here in the US.

Personally I think it looks gross, but it seems I'm in the minority here.

Then again, sometimes things look better in person than in pictures so who knows what I would think if I'd seen one of the SQ5s that had been touring the auto shows.

Saw this in person on a SQ5 last night - looks terrific. Some info about how they make this inlay and the process. Pretty interesting.
