Poo...I dont like your 2cents.

By how much do you think? I really dont like the idea of having to drive a bit to "get them up to temp" or whatever needs to occur.
Do you think that is a Ceramic norm?

tks

Ive been dealing with this guy for a while. He set up his business to support the VW TDi fan base and has a long arm when sourcing OEM upgrades etc.

Ahh, that must be it. I only use Chrome unless something forces me to use another browser. I appreciate the heads up.

I had ceramic Akebono pads on my 2003 A4 & while the dust was hugely decreased I had a problem with them moving around in the caliper that would cause a clicking sound. However, I could have been the install of them, I'm not sure.

I guess I could give them another try. Appreciate all the input.

I'd say they were about 80% of the OEM BMW pads. But they really are virtually dustless. It just seemed they didn't have a real good bite. Really had to mash on the brake pedal for a quick stop.

I'd like to hear your opinion Reggie on the amount of dust these pads give off. I am automatically assuming it is better than OEM can you give a decent estimate as to how much?

I've been running the Centric Posi Quiets for almost 3 years now. They are very dustless, best I've seen. Significantly better than even the Hawk HPS. I've also run the Centrics on my RS4 for about 5 years now.

Pros:
EXTREMELY dustless
EXTREMELY quiet
EXTREMELY kind to rotors
VERY inexpensive to buy
EXTREMELY long lasting.

Cons:
POOR Initial wet braking from a stop, such as the first time you stomp on the brakes after a car wash. But wet performance driving down the highway is fine thanks to the water sweeping/cleaning design feature of the Q5 brakes.
AVERAGE bite. Very well within acceptable range for me, but they do require a tad more pedal pressure than the TOO BITEY factory pads (hated them). It almost seemed like i could launch my passengers through the windshield using just my big toe.

Ok I just placed an order for the Posi Quiet pads. Only fronts for now. I'll come back & update once I get them & have them on the car. Thanks everyone.
