Default The BASE MSRP for an '09 A4 3.2 Quattro is $40,000.

There is NO way the Q5 could possibly start $6000 less than that.

Default I think that's a mistake, but that's just my opinion. Anyone else?

I think that they should strip the vehicle down to get the lowest base price and then have an option like our friends get in England.

That way, if you like the design but don't want to pay for all of the "bells and whistles" then it's your choice not to pay for them.

Audi made that mistake when they tried to bring a 2000 A6 2.8 MT to America. Instead of stripping the model down to the bare bones to get a very low base price, they loaded up the cars so that they were the same or higher than the Tip models. I can't tell you how many people came into the dealer and wanted to order a stripped down model and were turned away because Audi wouldn't let the dealers order them. So, in the end, AoA says no more MT A6's because no one bought the ones we brought in. It was a self full-filling prophecy.

Any one know what options are going to be available on the Q5? An apples to apples comparison would be nice. The Q5 I saw was pretty plain compared to the GLK and RX. X3 wasn't at the Auto Show I attended.

Default You guys have to admit that the interior of the Q5 is much better than the GLK.

I test drove the GLK and I like it but the interior is holding me back among other things.

I will test drive the Q5 once available.

No. The BASE MSRP for a 2009 A4 3.2 Quattro is now $40,400. Straight from the configurator.

Default oops, you're right, I was looking at the 09 A3 3.2 pricing ($36.975)....

Interesting that they made S-Line standard on the 2009 A3 3.2 Quattro!
