New 2010 Q5 Prem Plus_Occassional wind noise?
I just took delivery of a fantastic Quartz Grey/Black Q5 Prem. Plus, with Nav, 19" wheels, and B&O - great car so far. However, when driving at almost any speed greater than 40-50 mph, I occassionally notice a noise from the roof area that sounds like a gust of wind against the attenna.........not super loud and only notice it when radio is off. It's not a classic wind, whistling noise, just an occassional crosswind sort of sound. Am I being overly sensitive? This car is so quiet that every noise is magnified, so to speak. Nothing about the roof or radio attenna appears loose or mis-aligned, so I'm stumped. Any and all help appreciated!

That car sounds like a twin to mine! Congrats! Please post some pics. There has been very little wind noise from my pano roof, except with the roofracks attached.

In 900 miles I've not noticed wind noise but today the pano roof has started to creak slightly when going over uneven roads. I have tried to put carbaflow (what BMW dealers use to treat noises from weatherstripping) but didn't help so I will have to add some more or try something else. I'm hoping it is an easy fix as that is one of my biggest fears with this kind of roof and body flexes and noise. It is also getting very hot here in Houston and may be contributing.

I opened the pano roof and sprayed all gaskets, inside and out, with a dry silicone spray. The noise now seems to be gone, so I'm hoping this will be a solution. I work with silicones, so this solution is OK with me! Thanks for the help.

It's a 3M product called 'Dry Silicone 08897' and I got it at Amazon.com. I've also purchased it at auto parts stores here in town, but Amazon is easy if you're buying something else, as it arrives on your doorstep. Good stuff on door/window gaskets too to reduce noises and squeaks.
