Now they need to find out why the time doesn't advance when playing a song on the iPhone through Bluetooth.

I assume you mean that tells you the mins/secs through the song?

If so this is as far as I can tell the fault of the Bluetooth protocol. Both my iphone and galaxy s3 don't get this right (either stuck or wildly wrong) in both my SQ5 and on my Pioneer head unit in my MR2.
It is annoying but I've decided that shouting at Audi/Apple/Samsung/Pioneer is likely not going to get me far with fixing Bluetooth!

BUT, my 2014 Cabriolet works right. Goofy stuff...

Interesting! Maybe there is an ambiguous part if the Bluetooth spec lots of engineers interpret differently...
Be interested to hear if they sort it.
