Q5 audio repeats after phone call & lose track listing
2017 Q5 B&O sound with a Pixel 2 XL playing music through Google Play Music.
After having a phone call through bluetooth, the audio resumes and repeats approximately 2 seconds of audio over and over again.
In order to get it back I have to disconnect and reconnect the phone to the system.
That's one behavior.
The other is when the repeating doesn't occur, I lose the track listing on screen so it just appears blank and the system intermittently responds to forward and reverse track functions.
The lost track listing is not new, happened on my 2014 A6 but the repeating is.
Both are annoying and I've learned to deal with them but am running out of patience and would hate to waste my time in service so I'm coming here first.

Critic, I know it is not the same as using an online streamer, but I also had problems with repeats when using a BT adapter in the AMI socket in the glove box. Yes, it is nice to have the music muted when the b tch in the box is giving me navigation or road alerts or phone calls...But I went over to the dark side. I stuffed some 1200 albums on a 128GB USB stick (about $60 now?) that's not full yet, and I play music off that. The Audi
"random play" is not very random, but it does better than a radio station would.
It's a compromise I manage to live with. If I'm on a serious road trip, I'll compromise on the music repeating and use the BT interface instead. And when I'm lucky, the car even admits there's a BT phone active in the car. Sometimes...it won't even do that. (Tried four phones and had it checked under warranty, the AMI system is just sophmoric programming.)

I would be interested to hear who have experienced something similar and if they've found any workarounds or solutions.

thecritik don't be surprised if this turns out to be a "phone" issue. The Pixel is fairly new and the Audi Mmi is a solid system but far from "leading edge" For what it's worth I use an S8 and Bt. streaming works flawlessly.I'm definitely looking forward to a move up to the current "carplay" friendly system when it's time to change, but hopefully that'll be a ways down the road.

It would certainly be good news to hear I'm wrong and that things have changed. But then again, last year google maps told me to "continue driving east" while the signs on the interstate said WEST and the setting sun was directly in front of me. So if the sun can set in the west...maybe Audi or the third parties can update their BT stacks too.(G) Incidentally, I had the BT software updated in my car once, maybe 2016. So they said. Didn't make any change that I could tell.
