Default Which q5 should i get?
Hi im looking to get rid of my 2009 audi a4 and am intrested in getting a Q5 with a 3.2 v6 engine. Im wondering which out of the years 2010-2013 had the least amount of problems and would be a better buy. Any tips about owning these years of q5s or any tips on what i should look for when buying a q5 would be appreciated

The sweet spot really is MY14-16...no major issues like carbon build-up, tensioner chain, oil consumption, etc.

Try to get the 8 speed transmission found in 2012 / 2013 models.

Don't get a 2.0L engine.

If i do get a 2014 model would the tdi engine be a good option? I read thay diesels last longer and are easier to maintain

Yes, and added bonus is a 10 yr 120,000 mi warranty on diesel engine.
