Default rear bumper sill protector

I have been very careful to load and unload things from trunk but today, I finally get several fine scratches on the rear bumper sill. I know it has been discussed before, some people went with OE film, some went with eBay. I have few questions and hopefully someone with experience can answer me:

1. Does the film from Audi easy to install or I need some pro to do it?
2. How about the quality of those protector plate from eBay? Are they good?
3. Will those plates from eBay get scratches easily?
4. Will those plates holds in place securely?
5. If I go for the eBay plate, which style fit our Q5 the best (I have a silver Q)?
6. Can someone who had eBay plate installed post some pictures?

Thanks in advance.

Have you read the huge thread on this very topic?

Yes, I have read that thread but it wasn't that huge when I read it. So, did you get the one from NGP (the plastic one originally available in UK) or something else? Do you like it? Can you post some pictures?

Thanks in advance.

I got the ebay one and it works well, it's been on almost 10 months now...
and only a few scratches that I've buffed out.

If it scratches too badly, it's a much easier replacement than the body panel !

This one does match the one already installed INSIDE the rear hatch:

I actually did buy the black ABS version from NGP.

The fitment was pretty good. I have been planning to post some pics, but the weather hasn't been cooperating. And now my wife is traveling with the car. I will snap a few photos, but I can't promise when.

I won't be installing the bumper protector until the weather gets warmer. I want to make sure I clean/wax/seal the area under before I install it. I should have it installed by April/May.

Hmm... should you just clean the area and remove all wax before installing it so the 3M tape can stick better to the bumper?

I want to make sure everything is protected underneath. It won't stop the tape from adhering to the bumper.
