My dashboard indicator came on because my right rear tail light had water damage and a dead bulb. I decided to replace both right and left tail lamps since the left one was cracked. After installation, the dashboard warning indicator now comes on for both left and right lamps.
Turns out, the new ones I bought are the Euro kind (with orange reflectors), so I wonder if that is why the dash warning is lit. If so, is there a way to get them to reset? I actually like the Euro lamps and would prefer not to have to buy a new set of US ones.
I read that they use different bulbs in Europe, so the difference in resistance may be causing this. If that's the case I'd need to figure out which bulb(s) is causing this, and just replace those bulbs. Anyone familiar with this?
