Road Runner-Q5 Build Thread
HI Everyone:
It is good to be back into an Audi , this will be my second Audi within 5 years. Coming from a 2007 Audi A3 AKA (Baby Road Runner) with many mods. I am now looking into turning the Q5 aka (Road Runner) to a OEM+ and away from the masses.
Took delivery in DEC. of a MY 2012 Q5 Prem. Plus and have been studying closely to the following AW. members: D_Frost, BirdmanQ5, and ThunderDent build threads to get more inspiration. Not to mention Spijun for any or all OEM part numbers.
After 4 months of studying on mods that can be done on the Q5 and waiting for my 5K service to be done before doing all the upgrades. FINALLY, the wait is over. Q5 will be in the dealer on the 3rd week of April and all the parts are slowing coming. Some are still in the planning stages.
Here is the list of mods which will be done:
1. Cosmetic:
• S-Line Grill (Done)
• RS-Q5 Grill ( items arrived)
• Tint: front/ driver& passenger, Panoramic roof, Visor tint (Done)
• Lic Delete filler (Done)
• Body Kit.....(Pending)
• Carbon Fiber (ABT style) Spoiler (Arrived)
• S-Line Rear trunk scuff plate
2. Suspension/ Body/ Handling:
• Ultra Racing bars: Front Strut Bar, front Lower Bar, Rear Anti-Roll Bar (24mm), Rear Lower Bar, Rear Torsion bar. (Arrived) Thanks to S4madman at Ultra Racing!!
• KW Variant 2 Coil over (on Order)
• Wheels: (pending)
3. VCDS mods:
• Needle Sweep
• Video In Motion
• Comfort Access Windows
• D & S Gear Display
• Lap Timer
• Adaptive Brake Lights
• MMI 3G [Hidden Menu]
4. Engine:
• GIAG stage 1
I will keep updating photos and updates on the progress. Wish me Luck!!

wrcardon: Actually I have previous dealing with factories whom produced the grills. i would say the quality would be different from OEM, PU-Rim VS ABS on the RSQ5 Grill.
However, it is build pretty well. IMO

Wow. Looks great, I love that Monsoon color on the Q5s. Get that grille and spoiler on then get a photoshoot done! One thing you'll learn from us is modding never ends...until you pick up a new project haha. All the best, happy modding!
