Self Leveling Headlights??
I just bought a 2016 Q5 Premium Plus w. Tech package.
When I turn on the headlight, mine doesn't move up and down at start up.
Can anyone confirm that my vehicle does or doesn't have a self leveling headlights?

The headlight switch needs to be in the Auto position before you turn on the car.

You are very welcome. You can actually leave your headlight switch in the Auto position all of the time if you wish. Its personal preference really. The headlights will "Auto"matically turn on and off on their own. Congrats on your new ride. :-)

I leave my headlight switch "On" all the time. they just go off when you turn off the motor. Too many people depend on the automatics, and wind up running around with halo lights and no tail-lights in inclement weather. When the headlights are "on", the leveling motors work with ignition.

I prefer the "auto" selection and have driver's lights on all the time, and I can tailor the headlights' sensitivity when to turn on. It's in the menu. Headlights early, medium or late. I believe that's how it goes.

The only thing that bothers me about leaving the car lights on auto all of the time is that the lights always turn on in the garage and then shut off again when emerging from the garage (assuming it is daylight). Is this harmful to the longevity of the bulbs/igniters?

We have ours set to 'auto' as well. My only problem with it is that it causes the lights to turn on as soon as we get into the garage, seconds before the car is turned off. These unnecessary turn on/off cycles probably don't help with the lights longevity.

Just went into my SQ5 and the headlight activation is early, medium and late, but I did not find anything to prevent headlights from going on pulling into garage while in Auto which is method I always use on all cars. Didn't mean to mislead anyone.
Now I'm curious and want to find actual facts on light longevity with the on/off you mentioned.
I did turn my headlights to OFF since I rarely drive at night and my DRL are on all the time. Think/hope I can remember to turn the headlights on....

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't realize this option was available.
