Tirerack - Wheels + Tires for Q5
Had anyone had success/failure with ordering a wheel tire combo for the Q5 from Tirerack? Dealer wants $2,300 for 17" 5 spoke w/Pirelli winter tires. Seems a lot cheaper on Tirerack, but I'm worried given the tight tolerances on the Q5 that if the wheel is not exactly the right offset etc. it may not fit. If you have had success with Tirerack, which wheel did you get?

Ditto, Ordered a set last year. No problems.
Ordered on Monday...arrived on Wed.
Fittment was perfect, balancing was perfect.
BTW: to the door was under 900 bucks for Blizzaks mounted on 5 spokes. Even got a 75$ giftcard in the mail.
2300$ thats a whole tonne of bullsh!t

I too have never had any issues, ever, and i'm refereing to ordering from tirerack over the last 10 years and for over 12 different family cars.
I also must add that if you feel at all uncomfortable with the ordering of the set via on-line then take your configured tires/rim printout to your local Town Fair Tire (or another shop) and they should meet, if not beat the quote you have printed out ... + they will do the work of mounting & rotating, offer in-house service if you puncture a tire, have any off-balance or cause for warranty issue.

If they have the wheel/tire combo you are looking for, can't go wrong with them. Great prices, great service, and reasonable shipping. As long as they say it'll 'fit' your q5 - it should. They usually include everything you'll need (bolts, centering ring, etc..)
And if I may recommend a set of winter tires - loving the Michelin X-Ice Xi2 tires. I've tried blizzak's, and pirelli's in the past - IMHO the XIce's blow them out of the water. Have them on 3 different vehicles right now.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Gives me lots of confidence in ordering from Tirerack. As some of you have commented, the local prices here are rather steep, must be the Canadian special...
Thanks again!

I think you have 19's on yours currently, they look like the ones I have for my snow tires. Honestly, re-tire those with snow tires - I live in Canada and 19's with snows get me to the cottage, skiing, and through snow storms with ease. Get yourself some 20's with summer performance!
