Is the question "will the dealer change the code from stock to custom"? In most cases the answer would be no. Your best bet would be to look up the codes you want and find someone with a vag tool to help.

I agree completely......careful of the guys who complain about having to do it all the time and therefor feel the need tp charge up to 125$ for less than 15min of vag time to check or uncheck a box and click "do it".

Thanks!
Just a quick thanks to everyone that contributed to this thread. I was able to EASILY find someone in the Metro Detroit area to help update my codes via the vagtoolfinder and the update of the codes themselves were sooo much easier than I thought. I picked up my new Q5 at 530 and I by 800 I was home from the dealer with my codes updated and my new foglamps put in (includes 1 hr of drivetime!).
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

I don't see why not....
would be a MAJOR deal for VW to change all their coding, etc.... in their dealers equipment...
could they change everything? sure, but doubt it...

Don't think Audi will change their entire coding any time soon. AFAIK, Audi cars share the same basic software with different bits turned on and off for features that are specific to each model so I wouldn't worry about VAGCOM not working on the 2012... =)
