I was just notified by my dealer that the tow hitch is now available again and the option code has been added to my order. Cost is still $800 MSRP.

I was just quoted 1800 dealer installed here in Toronto on my 3.0T coming in. That seems awfully steep, more so than the factory hitch was on my x5??

My dealer still doesn't know anything about being able to add the tow hitch for the 2013.

I know that sounds like a high quote, but my dealer also told me it was $1700.00 for parts and labor. He said if the hitch is port installed there is no labor charge but since the factory was not doing port installations at the time my Q came in, I would have to pay the $900 labor fee. As part of our negotiations I was able to get him to drop the labor costs. Just wanted you to know, from my experience, your dealer isnt too far out of line with the hitch labor costs. Of course that money should include the wiring harness, etc.as it did for me.

Thanks mark and yes, it does make sense. I did however call another toronto dealer and got a 1395 quote. S, my selling dealer won't get the business. I'd really like to see some pics though. I know a member on here just had it done but his vehicle being black, might not display the full effect of the cut outs?
