In all fairness to the BMW, it would be good to know if these were the standard "leatherette" seats(?) I splurged for a BMW 3 Series when renting a car for touring the Pacific NW, and these "cheap seats" gave me lower back pain only after 20 minutes.

I have the Q5 3.0 and my sister has an X3 335. I like the exhaust sound in her car. She has the M appearance package which has contrasting stitching. I really like that. Her door handles light up which has wow factor. Her rear seats heat up well enough to cook meat. My car doesn't have that and isn't available in the USA. It is in Canada. With those things mentioned, I still prefer the controls in the Audi. You have to spend a couple hours to get familiar with simple things on the BMW while the Audi seems to be much easier to use. BMW doesn't have the Sirius preview when you hover over the station.

Overall, I feel the Audi is a better fit despite the nice differences that BMW has.

One more thing - There is no heated wheel on an Audi in the USA. It should be available in a car purchased by those in rough climates. The car is costly enough to warrant it.
