Default 2025 Q5

Any word on the 2025 Q5 intro date in the US, as well as regarding what to expect in terms of redesign, etc.?
My current lease will be up in Sept 2024 and wondering what my options will be if I decide to stay with Audi.
Thanks

I recently asked the same question to management of the local Audi dealer where I live. The lease on our '21 SQ5 is also up soon.

I was told that the redo of the Q5 / SQ5 will be released as a '26 model sometime during the summer of 2025.

Google 2025 Audi Q5. If there is any information, it will pop up.

A bunch of AI bots and speculative YouTubers in the last month or two have been putting out "information" about the 2025 in the last month or two that's just made up.

That's the great question, isn't it? I think everybody was expecting the redesigned Q5 to be a 2025, and indeed up here in Canada, Audi Canada did all their usual 'last year' tricks on the 2024, e.g. making bigger rims standard, streamlining the option packages, etc. I even think some people (including maybe even my dealer) thought last summer that MY2024 would be a shortened year and the redesigned model would hit early in 2024.

I was facing the exact same situation you were - lease on my A4 is up late June. Ended up ordering a 2024 Q5 somewhat reluctantly (and a lot of friends were like 'you have to wait and get the new one'... ummmmm... Audi Canada only lets you extend leases if you have an order on a new Audi, and the 2025 Q5 so far doesn't seem orderable...), but my 2024 Q5 will be delivered in a few days (and Audi Canada has fantastic incentives, which is very surprising in this segment in the 'post-covid' car market), and meanwhile there's no sign of an order guide or anything else on the 2025. And if the 2025 costs anywhere close to what an MB GLC now costs, it could end up costing 30+% more on a lease than the 2024...

My view at this point - unless the Q5 is different because it's a SUV and/or it's built in Mexico, Audi always launches redesigned models in European markets first, then North America a few months later. Who knows if order guides for the 2025 will be out by September; I certainly doubt that there will be cars being delivered in September...

This is why I buy my cars. I like to buy cars on my schedule. Only thing that affects me is when the warranty is going to expire.

If I were you, I'd get an extended warranty and buy out your current Q5. I do not like the direction Audi is going in, interms of design inside and out + reliability. Physical buttons rock!

2018 was the new B9 Q5 model, so 2025 should be a redesign if they follow that typically 7-year release cycle.

Extended warranty through the dealer or elsewhere? i have to wonder about the ones heavily advertised on television.
