I haven't purchased one, although I likely will. The plans seems worthwhile given the cost of maintenance anyways it pays off.

The answer is, "it depends"

It depends on if you are leasing or not?

If leasing, then no. If financing, then maybe.

If you finance and only keep your car less than five years, then no.

If you finance and keep your car longer than five years, then maybe.

If you finance and keep your car longer than five years and do most of your own maintenance or go to a car care shop other than the Audi dealer, then no.

If you finance and keep your car longer than five years and go back to Audi for all your maintenance, then YES.

However, DO NOT buy the extended warranty. That is a waste of money and a pure rip off.

I owner financed and I got it. I drive about 18-20k miles per year so it would pay itself off especially since I plan on keeping the car for at least 3 years.

If you lease, though (and get Audi Care at the time of the lease), it adds 1% to the residual value. So, it adds very little to the monthly payment (especially for an Audi with a higher MSRP).

I'm in the same boat as you. Since I drive a lot Audi care makes sense given how I'll likely keep my car for 2-3 years.

Are we talking about the $869 for 4 years of free dealer service? That's a no-brainer if you plan to own the car for 3 years or more IMHO.

Well, not necessarily.. If you are leasing for 4 years or more, it's not much different than if purchasing - you will still likely need the 4 scheduled maintenances. Also, if leasing through AFS, adding Audi Care into the lease will increase the residual by 1%. This reduces the payment which results in a large portion of the AC being paid for.

Fair enough. I rarely lease, so great information and good to know.

On a three year lease they offered me residual pricing on Audicare for $468, which basically covers the 20K and 30K services that I would owe anyway. Didn't bother me at all to pay that up front, so at this point I should never buy anything for the car beyond gas.
