Default color coordinating sq5 mirrors to body color

The mirror caps on the Q5 are color coordinated to the car. The mirror caps on the SQ5 are brushed aluminum. I would prefer the color coordinated look . New caps are available from Audi unpainted for $332/ea. After priming, painting and installation, looking at about $900 - 1000. Looking for a cheaper solution. The SQ5 is a Daytona Grey. Any ideas????????

Good question but I have same color and I don’t really mind mirrors... they must make cheaper covers or maybe wrap them?

When my friend bought his S7 he hated the chrome mirrors and looked into cost of changing to body color. He didnt do and after awhile realized the chrome mirrors were a sign of distinction and exclusiveness in the Audi world. Now he loves the chrome

Just whimsy on my part. My guess is no easy or cheap solution to the "problem," and in time I'll learn to live with them......and maybe even love them.

But in the meantime, thought I'd ask........

Give it some time. It's a nice to know out of the next 100 Audis you see on the road only a couple will be an "S" model. I have only had mine a month but have had another Audi driver give me a thumbs up

The caps aren't aluminium, they are just painted to look like it.

Just get them painted.

Yes. I’d say get them painted at a local reputable paint shop. Or wrap them. Or like someone said, there might be someone with a Daytona grey Q5 who wants chrome mirror caps and you could ask for a swap?

I would wrap them if there's anything that can make it look close...so you can always reverse if you decide to got back. Plus, you might have issues with trying to sell an SQ5 without the chrome mirror caps in the future.

Daytona Grey is only available on the SQ5. Manhattan Grey is on the Q5, but I don't know how close those two colors are.
