I’d love to know as well. Currently I got one of those chrome cover or cap overlay that goes on top of the oem light up rings. Only problem is it covers up too much area and the lighting is diminished. Wish there was an oem optic black option I can switch to.

Just to clarify, the illuminated rings don't interfere with any of the electornics, right? I think for Mercedes you can't have the illuminated badge with adaptive cruise control.
Also I wonder if anyone knows an independent shop in NJ that would do the installation? I called a couple of european shops, and neither of them knew how to do that. Dealer quoted $420 for just the installation.
How were you able to get black optics into your led rings? Is it OEM, painted or something else?

I understand it's not for everyone but I think it looks very cool and adds some specialness to my ride. It does look very nice in person, definitely not 'cheap looking'.
