Fog light mods
Audi cheapen out the Q5, they cost reduced by removing fog light, exhaust tips, used plastic everywhere included door handles.
The front bumper has big chunk plastic covers, I decided to add fog lights to make better appearance.
The LED bars costed me less than $25 from amazon , and I opened front bumper plastic cover to installed.
Surprising the result from installation of LEDs turned out good. I could see much better even with 3W per LED bar.
With some electronic skill with , I was able to make LED foglight to turn on when engine running and off when engine stops.
Connections are directly to battery.

Looks nice and clean!
My 2018 Q5 has fog lights front and rear, Audi just calls them all weather lights in the front and they are integrated into the main headlight. It might be a trim thing, not sure if the HID headlights on the premium models have them. The LED headlights definitely have them and they work great in the rain and snow.
I assume the main reason they did this is because on cars with adaptive cruise control that is where the sensors are. Additionally, and this may not apply in the USA market, when you turn on the all-weather lights the dipped beam pattern adjusts slightly to reduce headlight glare, just like how the lights adjust up at highway speeds to increase range

Every vehicle I've owned in the past 22 years have plastic door handles, soooooo not sure which one you had that used anything but!
As a FYI, the "fog lights" typically don't exist since the radars for adaptive cruise go there. As for the exhaust tips, that's a prelude to the fully electric vehicles that don't need exhaust.
