Looking at your mileage, I'm wondering if your car is a pre 2018 model? If so, you might have better luck on the Mk 1 forum.

My '18 has 36K miles....his is in km.

Default Child Safety Lock

Warning about the Child Safety Lock. Most cars have a button on the drivers door below the window switches. Page 39 of the manual.

Message in the instrumentcluster display
Childproof catch: malfunction! Please contact
Service
There is a malfunction in the child safety lock.
Press the #/ button again.
If the message stays on, drive immediately to an
authorized Audi dealer or authorized Audi Service
Facility to have the malfunction repaired.

Ok so what happened was the car's left side electronics turned off and I couldn't get the doors or mirrors to work on the left side. Obviously was panicking since this car has so much going on. But about 2 start ups after, the car resolved the issue on it's own and is fine now. The car is an MY2018, purchased in Dec 17'. Thanks guys for the help.

Hey, is yours a Q5 or an SQ5? Have you done the stronic oil change if yours is a Q5?

I’d make sure to have this experience posted to the service department’s record for your vehicle. Show them the same picture.
