New Q5 2023

New Q5 2023
Given the state of the market inflation and supply chain issues; looking for suggestions on buying a new Q5 2023 to replace an A4 2013 (79K dealer maintained but requiring few $K repairs per dealership recommendations).
- Does it make sense to buy a new Q5 2023 or wait to see on price improvements (if any)?
- What is the best way to source a new Q5 in US other than local dealers? Car Gurus, audiusa.com or other avenues?

Impossible to answer as it all depends on many factors. How much will the repairs cost? Do you have the means to buy a new car? Will it cause financial issues to spend the money? What is your dealer offering you in terms of price on the Q5?
The answer to this varies wildly by person. Unless you must have a new car, now isn’t the best time to buy. Negotiation off sticker isn’t happening and many dealers are marking us over sticker price. If you can fix your car for a couple thousand and get another 2-3 years out of it, that is the best choice right now. Again, unless you have other factors such as a growing family needing more room etc.

All good points brought up by atlanta A6. One of the things I wanted to add was that our dealer close to our home was more than willing to do a dealer locate for our specific Audi in the past when trying to find different vehicles to match certain criteria we set, so that's an option you could explore given that your dealer is willing to do that. They should have access to pretty much the entire US inventory as I understand it.. We settled on a 2023 Q5 they had on the lot in Chronos Gray in a Prestige level trim and we love it. The eTron that we had wasn't working with our driving lifestyle so we got this one less than a month ago. It's a great family SUV in my opinion but will say it does have a little less room in each of the passenger compartments vs the eTron. I realize they aren't the same size vehicles as I've heard the eTron compared more to the Q8 in terms of size.

https://www.audiusa.com/us/web/en/inventory.html can be used to search nationally.
I would also consider the Q5e. If you purchase and put in service before end of year you may qualify for the $7500 tax credit still.
The 2022 model qualified: https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/taxevb.shtml
