I remain baffled despite the abundance of information contained in this forum and thread. Please assist me. Here is what I have done so far.
I downloaded V3.6.0 - QR Edition, and installed MIB Launcher using the Green Engineering Menu.
I downloaded patch 20230926_M.I.B_Patches.7z and added it to the "Patches" folder. When installing, it gave an error saying, "Header Seize on unit - 10D8F200 - does not match patch files seize - - or stock - - image"
Then I downloaded MHI2Q_US_AUG22_P5087_MU1316 (A4-A5-Q5-Q7). 7Z and upgraded the version from 1118 to 1316
I am currently unable to return to the Green Engineering Menu in order to reapply the patch and update the FEC code in order to deploy the latest map. Despite numerous attempts, I am unable to access the GEM, regardless of whether the SD card is inserted into slot 1. By accessing the Red Engineering Menu, I am able to verify the current version (1316) and the compilation of FEC codes (02300024).
What went wrong with me? How can I access the GEM again to continue the process?
I think you did this in the reverse order
You need to update MMI first
Install MIB launcher using GEM
Apply AIO Patch
I believe when you update MMI it will wipe away any MIB launcher/patches you have. (I could be wrong, but this is what I experienced atleast)
What does your patch folder look like?
Are you able to confirm you have the files for the 1316 unit? It looks like you're missing "part2" judging by that file name

Thank you for your steadfast help. There was an issue with the extraction, so I manually updated the files specifically for that folder, and the patch was properly installed now. The last step is to download and install the most recent map of North America. Do you still have a link that I can use to download it faster?

Much appreciated. My update is now complete. I never had the confidence to mess up with my Audi MMI, but this thread gave me all the required information and more importantly the confidence. Thank you!
Unfortunately not. The mods for these are not Audi sanctioned. In this case, it's a matter of risk (small if you follow instructions) for the reward. The main risk is not running the battery down, hence the recommendation for a battery tender / charger while flashing.
So if I do the update what will be my new Version Number (MHI2Q_US_XXXXXX) and my new MU Software number?
I'd like to perform the map update on my 2019 SQ5, but before I bother I'd like to check if my new home address is in the map database. Would some kind person somewhere in the New England states who has the latest map database and would be willing to check an address please PM me? I will reply with my new address and my thanks for helping out a fellow Audi owner.

LOL!!! Laughing with you, not at you, kalis. As @Moffacake knows this to well, about my trials and tribulations!!!! I too, had this backwards and didn't realize there was an order to this madness. Glad in the end, you got it figured out, with Moffacake's extensive helping hand!!
