Now driving 2018 Moonlight Blue Metallic SQ5 Prestige
Just picked up my 2018 SQ5 Prestige in Mooonlight Blue Metallic/Black interior from Audi Reno Tahoe (Northern NV).
A great brand, awesome vehicle, top notch dealership and the service and sales team always leave me very happy.
This is our third Audi. We traded a 2007 Q7 (with 160K miles) for a 2013 A7 that my wife drives (90K miles currently) and the new SQ5 is essentially my vehicle to drive after turning in a company car.
Highlights for me:
- Existing awareness and comfort with the Audi Brand (Loyalty)
- 'S' styling and performance interior/exterior
- CarPlay
- Dynamic drive mode (aka growly exhaust mode)
- Styling with 21 inch wheels (I dislike tiny looking wheels in oversized wheel wells)
- Moonlight Blue Metallic is classy. Deep blue in sunlight and has an almost black hue to it after dusk. Very happy with this choice.

In addition, I purchased AudiCare and Audi extended warranty as I tend to keep our cars for 150K or so.
I also had the front windows and panoramic roof tinted and wrapped in a clear bra the hood, headlight lenses, side mirrors, door edges and the rear bumper before I picked up the vehicle.
Dealer placed order on April 11, 2017
Production week: 2417 (Week 24 = June 12)
Assigned Port: San Diego
Drove away with the car on July 24, 2017 (roughly 3 months timeframe)
Markets and dealers vary so widely and I feel I was treated fairly and got what I paid for including a great dealer experience. So ... I prefer not to enter the pricing debate.

Only 24hours in but, I like the ride. We have 21's on our A7 as well. SQ5 feels a bit stiffer in Dynamic mode but, all around happy with the ride and power.

I love the look and color. I saw it in person, indoors under lights and it was awesome! Outdoors it looks black unless the light hits it just right.
I was almost gonna get this color, but was worried about keeping it clean.
