The ones I have are new port installed options that literally popped up mid November, right as my car was being shipped. The order Code was ILR, and there was no price even yet, so we were not sure if would even actually be available. It wasn't until car arrived and I saw the sticker that it showed price. 500$, but given that the door beam ring projectors were listed at 275 ( and I got a set from ebay for 90 and installed myself), It seemed like a good bet, since I bet install of this was way more of a pain than door beam projectors.

I have the OEM illuminated front rings on my Q5 Prestige. I did not want them and asked to have it removed but was told it was permanent. Way too bright and the glow is a noticeably different hue compared to the headlights /DRL.
Since it’s wired in, anyone know if removal or deactivation is possible?

Can someone post a picture of which puddle lights you're talking about?
Are you talking about the ones that are built into the handles or the ones that illuminate when you open the door?
I bought one's from Aliexpress that illuminate when you open the door, $20 and minutes to install....really cheap simple upgrade.
Edit: ignore me I misread, yeah I'm interested in front LED rings, let me know how the install goes and what it's supposed to look like

They don't seem as "not my style" as the white pinstriping a neighbor put on her blue Q5.
My car had the Audi rings puddle lights when I got it. I wasn't happy about them at the time, but have grown to find them at least "cute."

I mean you can consider me lazy. I waited to remove it until my actual plates arrived. I had literally just drove it home that day. So while you might spend your time at the dealer removing the front dealer advert before your drive home, not everyone would.
