second key?

how long did it take you to get second key from Audi? dealer says no ETA and usually it's not an issue to have 1 key but I live in a high rise where valet needs a second key so they can put the car on the charger and remove it since theres only a few charging ports. I'm currently having to run down 2 times a day to charge it and move the car. first world problems.

Are there any 3rd party suppliers for key fobs that a dealer can program?

Can't think of any dealer that would touch a third party key. We wouldn't.

In 2019 I ordered two fobs with the cut blade for my 2018 Q5 (I recall key style is the same for 21+), after programming I was in almost $1300. Each fob transponder is ~400, cut insert ~150, programming ~200. Even pre-chip shortage these keys took forever to come to the parts dept, they literally must get them from Germany.

If they ever pass the "Right to Repair" law, this will change, but the way the federal government is working these days, they can't agree a lunch order
