SQ5 Oil Analysis

Interesting to note, when I bought the service kit for our new SQ5, I had to convince the parts guys that the correct oil was NOT for a Diesel car. They were sure that the 0W-20 was just for Audi Diesels. Go figure.

Unnerving if you ask me... but thanks. I'll be attentive to this with my dealer (who otherwise is one of those specially recognized ones).

The dealer offered free service for 72k miles which I declined. I don't want to risk having engine issues, getting hurt or having someone else get injured when it fails .I had a new vehicle which went through 3 engines; losing power on the highway is terrifying. I don't want to experience that again due to dealer negligence. I said an engine replacement also isn't an option because it would kill my cars value. I requested a new vehicle be ordered and for them to take mine back so it'll be a 1:1 swap. I'm waiting to hear back still.

I think this is a reasonable request from you AR. The dealership will resell your car with no issues, and just could swap you into a new one. What will that cost them? A few $k? Not much more then what they've already offered you via the free Audi Care.

This is the result for my 2018 SQ5 at 9800 miles. The numbers in this report are higher than the samples in this thread. Blackstone indicates my results are typical for the mileage. So I don't know whats what. Comments?

No Titanium stills seems odd *shrug*. Viscosity is in grade for a 0w20, although it would be best to compare to a virgin oil analysis to know if it is going up or down. Regardless, oxidation must be low since viscosity probably hasn't gone up from lower 7's - I doubt the virgin viscosity would be that low. Flash point is good. Wear metals are as expected for a factory fill. Calcium is from the oil's add pack, detergents IIRC.
