Trouble Finding rear facing car seat to fit 2018 Q5
The new car seat guidelines suggest keeping kids rear facing until they outgrow seat. I can’t find a seat that will rear face without moving the front seat up as far as it goes which means no room for passenger. All YouTube videos show putting front facing car seats in Q5. Anyone had any luck?

We bought a Graco slim fit all in one.
Fits on the outboard side.
We have the seat slid back to where my wife can sit comfortably. 5”6”
Front seat moved all the way forward. About 3-4in space in front of seat
Here is the one we have

Graco Slimfit rear facing car seat
Thanks so much for the info. To clarify someone who is approximately 5’6 can ride comfortably in the passenger seat with the baby seat behind them?

if you're willing to go with isofix (euro standards) the britax dualfix (https://www.britax-roemer.com/car-se...lfix/1870.html) looks to give the same or a bit more space than the slimfit asp974 is using. Passenger seat all the way up and backrest a little straighter than usual, car seat in the middle recline position, you get about a hands width of space. 5'6" should sit pretty comfortably though as mentioned, maybe a little straighter than usual. If you tilt the car seat into the most upright position, passenger seat should be almost as normal for a 5'6".
However, with the dualfix, if no baby in the baby seat, you can also turn the baby seat towards the door and get all the space you want in the front seat without removing the baby seat.

Not in a q5, but two that I have experience with:
I have two different convertible seats that fit in my 2018 A4 allroad. Britax Boulevard Clicktight and the Maxi-Cosi Pria 85 max. The britax is a better seat but doesn’t fit as well as the maxi Cosi. My wife can set her seat in a normal position and she’s 5’-5”. The britax still works but the seat has to move up about and inch.
I tried the Britax seat in a first generation q5 and it worked. Also used the Chicco keyfit infant seat in a 2018 q5 and it worked.
