My 2022 Squid always sounded like there was a misfire, plugged air filter or it was running under water until I turned off the under dash sound generator by using the OBDEleven unit.

Audi spends money to artificially make exhaust sounds while not spending money to continue the exhaust system to the end of the car, having fake exhaust tips.

Keep the green eye shades out of the design process!

Was the sound on all the time? Mine is only on if I switch to Dynamic. I don't think it does if I just pull the shift lever to go to sport mode.

Are you saying keep cost out of the design processes? A $10 speaker over the cost of extending the the tail pipes. Speaker wins.

I'll always take the real deal over fake, just like mammary glands. Just a personal preference. It's wonderful to have options!

And how much engineering did it take just to generate a fake sound? A set of cut outs further upstream, bypassing the resonators would be a great option! The ability to go from quiet to extreme should be a standard for all RS cars while at the same time if you have a B&O sound system you want to be able to enjoy it, when the time is right.

It does take a bit getting used to having extreme torque and acceleration without the engine sound. I may add back 20%. The Resonator elimination system may be a consideration as long as I don't eliminate the ability to put back to stock by damaging the existing system.
