2007 Audi Q7 problems
Hi I am a first time Audi owner. I have a 2007 Audi Q7. My radio and navigation screen not working. I see people talking about changing MMI. Could that be my issues? Also seems to be getting really bad fuel mileage. Anyone with similar issues?
Love the ride and feel of the Q7 if I could figure out what's causing my other problems.

You need to get someone w/a VCDS to plug into your diagnostics port and run a full scan, your MMI fault would surely throw a fault code of some sort that would assist greatly in finding the issue.
Fuel Economy could be all sorts of things, from operating in a 'limp mode' because of faulty sensors.. to crap tires or a dragging brake., the scan might help you with this too.
A generic OBD2 tool will not retrieve the information we need, it needs to be an VW/Audi specific diagnostics tool equivalent to what a dealer uses.. VCDS/Vag-Com is what most indy shops and private owners have, there's also OBDEleven but you'd have to buy that on your own as they make you pay per vehicle.. There's "VAG-COM Finders" out there that will help you locate ppl willing to scan your car for you and give you the outputs.. costs a case of beer at most.
You might need to clear out all the codes on a vehicle of this age and unkown history, then see what faults come back.. lots of codes could be stored from issues long since fixed, like a dead battery or something.
