Default Can Vag-Com Adjust Speedo for taller tires?

Hello Audi Folks! My 2007 Q7 currently is running with small 18 inch wheels and tires. I'm considering getting a set of 21" or 22" Peelers with Pirelli tires sized at 285/35/22....or maybe 285/45/22. The larger tires have about a 7% increase in rolling distance per revolution. I have a Vag-Com and read that it may be possible to adjust Speedo accordingly. I'm looking at replica wheels from an ebay vendor with a good history, they have wheel & tire packages the look attractive. But as I did the math I found that the overall package price was more than if I just bought the wheels and tires separately and had them mounted and balanced locally...by about $150 - $200. I'm probably splitting hairs here but I would like to hear your opinions. Should I go with the least hassle and by the package? Or just do it myself? Thank You.

yes. you can adjust values with vagcom/vcds. you have use a wheel and tire calculator to find the overall rolling diameter convert to millimeters and plug in the values for the wheels. your speedo and navigation should then adjust accordingly. the problem with going with larger overall diameter wheel is you will lose a bit of torque off the line... while not an issue for most on an suv it is noticeable. also i would not put replica wheels on this vehicle. heavy car 21/22" wheel with minor amount of rubber to protect it... i think you're buying a headache. (shameless plug but i have a like new set of 21" oem titanium s-line wheels with about 9 miles on them. took them off my q7 when i purchased it. not sure where you are located but if i don't have to ship i would gladly part with them.)
