Hi there, just got my 2015 q7 2 weeks ago. Tried to program home link, but it didnt work. My garage door opener is pretty old. But the remote works properly. I aimed the remote at the left headlight as instructed by the manual. But it didnt succeed. Any suggestions? Thanks!

It can be VERY fussy setting this up sometimes. Re-read the instructions carefully - doing something even slightly wrong or out of order will throw it off. Use a helper to press the learning button on the opener motor so you can do the next steps quickly afterwards. If you still can't do it after 2-3 more attempts, there's a toll-free number to call for help.

Thanks! I didn't pass even step 1. The emergency blinker did nothing regardless how I pointed my garage remote to the car. I changed positions, distance, etc. Will give it a try this weekend again.

For old Garage door opener, you need to press the button on the garage door motor unit AFTER you completed the process (I mean pressing in front of the car). I'm not sure if you by pass the first process but that's what I did.
