Default P2270 & P2272 B1S2 B2S2 O2 Sensors

2008 3.6

I recently just received P2270 & P2272 B1S2 B2S2 O2 Sensors codes. If it were one code targeting single O2 sensor, I would believe it to be a bad O2 sensor but to have both post cat sensors go bad at the same time seems odd. I checked for vacuum leaks but can't find too many vacuum lines. The rubber on the ones I could find appear to be soft without any cracks. Any suggestions on where else to go with this?

I also ran the Lambda O2 sensor tests with my VAGCOM tool on both and the tests came back as not ok for each sensor. I wouldn't necessarily think that they are indeed bad. I was thinking to replace one to see if the code goes away. Thoughts?

Update. I replaced both rear sensors & all is well again. I was able to use a 7/8 open ended wrench. An O2 Sensor socket would have not worked as well. I still think it is strange that both failed at the same time at 107K miles but from what I read, they should be replaced at 100K miles as preventative maintenance.
