I bought used Q7 (2010). I notice that MMI version is P0029_D1. Should I need to update this?
What are the benefits with newwe version?
I have bought memory card with update files, but I have Bose audio. Is this causing problems?

Do not attempt an update unless you are 100% sure of what you are doing and have detailed instructions. You can do more damage than you realize. If you search hard enough you can find the updates being sold with instructions...

I recall seeing several warnings that if its not done properly, youll blank the system.

Then again, if you know what youre doing, go for it!

To answer your actual question, I dont know what difference it would make, sorry.

I just purchased and updated my 2015 with Zero issues!
Mine is 3G+. It was basic and simple, following instructions.
I also updated my NAV, package deal. That came with activation and appears to be working fine.
Just get it from a reputable source.
I did get mine from Ebay.

Honestly? I cannot really tell any difference in either update, but I will be traveling and hopefully the NAV will find things it could not before.
No new gadgets if that is what your asking and I was hoping for!

You can go in and check your version in your MMI against what is current for your MMI.
