2012 Q7 Truck Latch, Lock, Actuator, Striker Issues
I am a newer owner of a 2012 Q7 TDI, we are having issues with the truck latch. The trunk closes all the way but then it sounds like a machine gun for 5-10 seconds once it is closed and the dash will say the trunk is not closed. I have been trying to find info on things to try or test but have not found anything on this issue. I have contacted Audi and there are two parts "Lock. Latch. (Upper) - 4F9827505A" which is $102.50 and the "Lock. Actuator. Striker. (Lower) - 4F9827383G" which is $415.00. I was thinking it was the upper latch but after talking to them he said it is most likely the lower "$415" latch, so is he just trying to sell the more expensive part or is he correct. Is there something else I can do or a way to troubleshoot this. What have you guys found or seen on this, please help me out.
Thanks,
Rick
