aftermarket rear entertainment systems

Had mine done a few months ago
I did. I have two touch screens installed and attached to but not in the front headrests. I am on the fence about the implementation but the little ones enjoy them. On my previous A6 I had the monitors installed in the headrests but I didnt elect to do so this time because doing so would have affected the new whiplash restraint protection. Whats cool is I have the 6 seater config and the head unit, switch, and alternate A/V inputs are flawlessly integrated within its housing. However, the headsets look like football helmets and I think I am going to replace them with a most ascetic appeal.

have you considered the audi rear entertainment monitors instead
i saw them at the dealership last time and they were pretty sweet, they come in pairs, integrated into the headrest and you just put the cd into each so both can play different movies if they choose to.....
pretty pricey though, in Canada, two headsets with wireless headphones sell for 2500 dollars, not sure if that includes the installation
and you can imagine the screen not being toooo big because it is the size of the headrest with an inches border around

Re: have you considered the audi rear entertainment monitors instead
Yes I did and I liked the look of the monitor brackets but as with all Audi accessories it was overpriced. Also the monitor unit was a lower res than I ended up with. I ended up saving about 400 USD and I paid in euros to boot. But its definitely an option.
