you just need a fiber-optic loop in its place & coding (not required)

Default lol - it does sound complicated. From what I get out of it you just
plug in the loop in place of the module. The coding is for the MMI to recognize that it is not there when you press the XM button. I need this module as I have a road trip coming up in a week

You could get a FM transmitting Sirius adapter, and use that...?
