Argh! Alarm chirp can't be disabled on 2011 Q7s...
Took delivery this weekend - 2011 TFSI S-Line. Truly awesome car. Wife loves everything about it - except the loud chirp when the doors are locked. Both the dealer and Audi USA confirmed today that this cannot be deactivated for the 2011 model (either via the MMI or back-end reprogramming), which is a bit annoying. It's so loud that it can easily be heard upstairs at night when activated in the garage.
God knows why Audi decided to make it impossible to disable the chirp (without disabling the alarm altogether). Apart from this annoyance, we love the car.
(Oh, the MPGs for the first 100 miles were incredibly unimpressive - 12/13 in the burbs; will hopefully get better. Knew it wouldn't be great, but the wife absolutely positively didn't want diesel...) Oh well... at least it "moves". And looks great, inside and out!

i am pretty sure vagcom would be able to disable it, it always has been able to do so in the past. this would be a very odd 'change' for a face-lift model year if you cant. 2011 touareg can be disabled through menu and vcds.

We've only had our 2011 Q7 for a couple of weeks, but I swear I saw an option to disable the "beep" in the MMI settings. I think it was in the car setup menu where you select locking options, central locking, etc.
