How many miles on your allroad?

Interesting point on the alarm. Recently I had parked the car with windows open and alarm armed. Every 5 minutes the alarm went off. I believed it was a hyper sensitive motion detector for inside the car. I disabled the interior motion detector and the frequent set off went away.

You can adjust the sensitivity (either ask the dealer, or use a VAG-COM)

Well until recently you had to hit the car with another car before it would go off!!! I found this out the hard way so I like it this Way>

Default Its an aftermarket scan-tool

URL below. Basically duplicates most of the functionality of the VAG-5051 (or whatever the newer model is called) that the dealer uses to scan the car for errors (plus alter things like the door locking modes, alarm sensititivy, and a myriad of other things).

Its essential if you're a car-maintenance do-it-yourself type ;-)

http://www.ross-tech.com/</a
