On my 2007 Q7, my 3 front dash speakers, front tweeters in both doors and rear tweeters in roof near rear hatch cut out. They have sometimes come back on and then cut out again.

Front and rear door woofers, plus rear door tweeters, and subwoofer work all the time.

I have already done the sunroof drain fix. No moisture was found.

I pulled the amp and checked the board. For safe measure I cleaned the amp circuit board again. No change.

This problem seems to affect those above named speakers all the same, but where do they have something in common that might be shorting or not connecting properly?

Any ideas on what to look for would be appreciated. I am kind of at a loss on where to look next.

Sounds like the harness or the amp. I would get a pin out and check that the amp is delivering a signal (AC on voltmeter to to +/-). If there isn't even a signal leaving the amp you can be pretty sure the amp is the problem.

I had that problem in the past with my 07. There was a chip on the card of the amp that was starting to go. I ordered the chip and had an electronic technician remove and resolder it. Never had that problem after.
