August for uk customer orders now - dealer got the dates well wrong.
I was told my car was week 26 build - week 28 delivery.
I queried if this was right as it seemed to be that the car would sit around for weeks before the 15th July Launch Date. Was given an unusual answer.
I then heard direct from Audi that the cars that are july delivery are only the "dealer" demo cars - and not customer cars. These customer cars are due for August delivery now.
Anyone else been told a July delivery in UK??
Thanks to Audi Uk for clarifying the situation.

I've watched my UK order slip from an orginal build week of 23 out to 26 and the latest I heard ( a week ago) is that it's now build week 28. So I guess that puts it into August for delivery. Deposit went down early Nov 2005.

I think the number of "dealer" cars have caused the issue - against the demand elsewhere.
For my most local dealership they have 2 dealer cars coming in - and another sline later.
I'd have reckoned that 1 car would have been enough initially and then at least someone would have a customer car on day 1.
Given they have no stock to sell till later in 2006 - then I cant understand the need to give dealers all these demo cars.
I've been strung a line that I was due my car for release on july 15th - only to find that car is into august now.
I wonder if they should be paying us interest on the 1000 ukp's. Either that or a discount or free option would sum the square.
