Backup Camera Retrofit - anybody understand German?
Please take a peek here and translate. Looks like an option to retrofit the backup camera.

Yes it is a complete retro-fit back camera.
Two things are required:
- Need the MMI fitted in your car
- If you do not have the TV-option, you need a new display controller in addition to the mentioned set. This is only "on request/contact us"
24 month warranty. They call it "original Audi Advanced parking system".

If that's so, then theoretically speaking, my dealer should be able to perform this service,
but that is not what I heard back from them. I think it is not a DIY job because you either need a new bumper or drill two holes on it for the parking sensors.

Kufatec confirmed that the backup camera is independent of the park sensors.

I ran it through babelfish.altavista.com and the result is in the file specified in the link. Choose the file AAPS.pdf and download. The translation is readable.
