Default coil springs v8tdi

hi:

I am looking for a stiffer spring to compensate weight without dropping the q7's height. I am going to add about 600 lbs to the weight of the vehicle.

I need part numbers for the v8tdi springs or what color dots it may have, or of somewhere That I can find them to purchase.

Thank you very much,

Default If they exist they will only be heavier for front end..

but I am pretty certain the V8 TDI is only available on air.
Where are you adding weight?
There must be a great story behind an extra 600 lbs.

Default coil cprings

ok, from the research that I have done, the v6tdi, and v8 fsi have the same front springs, but the 3.6 V6 fsi has different springs in the front. Now the weird thing is that all three have different springs in the rear.

So here it goes. I am going to armor my Q7. this will add about 600 lbs to the q7. 56% to the front and the rest towards the rear except when driving uphill. I know that it has a towing capacity of 5000 lbs but do not want the q7 to drop in height. I actually would also like to see if I can lift it about .75 to 1.25 inches. I did not want to let the cat out of the bag until I was done. But maybe it is not a bad idea talking about this here.

The suspension being so sporty it may become a more comfortable ride afterworlds. (on broken and offroad) On well paved roads, nothing compares.

so my summer project will be to armor my Q7 install advanced aps front sensors and backup camera. while the car is completely apart.

other than KW suspensions, there is nothing out there as a suspension Upgrade for the q7. Maybe they might do a custom coilover.

I have found suspension upgrades for the touareg but do not know if they will work with the q7.

Default OH of course, you posted before.

I forgot. You mentioned your location in this regard previously.
I just didnt think it appropriate to keep any record.
Certainly is an interesting project, just not one I would envy.

Default Re: OH of course, you posted before.

I live in Haiti and you are at risk just by the color of your skin. There is no 911. We must have security guards at our homes, and backup of everything. Thats all part of cost of living. If you live the equivalent life of a middle class in the united states or Europe, you are considered an MRE by Haiti's standards. Robberies and kidnappings are becoming more and more frequent which often lead to death with less and less persecution from the government as if its the norm. So an armored car has become part of the cost of living here and more of a necessity than a luxury. Once you own one, you will not one it any other way.

It has its advantages also.
1: you feel the security
2: Heat, UV and IR are no longer a problem.
3: your airconditioning works much much better.
4: exterior noise down to a minimum.
5: exterior body shell less prone to dents and dings.
6: you feel as if you are in a sanctuary not stressed.
7: the car feels nice and solid and pre planted.
8: once you buy a new car, you feel that the glass is really cheap for being so thin.

Dissadvantage:
1 very costly
2 when you are not in an armored car, you are like a turtle out of its shell. (you feel naked as if anything can happen to you.)
3: The vehcle changes: with more body roll, longer braking wear and tear items must be changed more often A higher center of gravity.
4: In an accident you cannot break a window to get out.
5: very addicting

if you need any info on the subject, let me know.
