Apparently my passenger (Left) side OUTER door handle LOCK button has failed.

The sensor to unlock still works however, but I have always had to pull the handle twice to unlock the door.

Where should I start? VCDS? Is it a module or the actual button itself?

In my 2013 TDI the rear sensors works for lock, but to unlock it always need to double try to unlock it. It depends on dust on the sensor or key battery I think

My rear passenger side sensor intermittently has issue unlocking especially if i'm carrying my 4yr or if my phones are in my pockets or if the key is on the outside (furthermost) pocket. I see the errors with scans from VCDS but it doesn't actually tell me much beyond the fact that the sensor is having issues.

Sorry, I should have been more specific and I just made the edit to my post.
It is the outer door handle lock button that has failed and always a double pull to unlock that door only.
I realize the inners do the double pump.
All other doors, no issue.
