Default Front and rear brake pads - Ouch!

Just had my brakes serviced on 4.2 at dealer - 27,900 miles. Brake pad light came on. Just front and rear pads without replacing rotors. Only... $1,036. Ouch

Didn't you have maintanance purchased when you bought the car?

Default That sounds excessive

I would call other Audi dealers and see what they would charge for the same service. If your dealer is way out of line, start making some noise.

I vaguely remember reading the Audi Care fine print and I don't think it covers wear and tear items

at least in the US... that's what the dealer told me the other day while I was there waiting to pickup my car for State Inspection. From what he said, it was just announced.

Default State inspection? At one year? Only 11,000 miles?

over here its 4 years to first inspection then every two after that. Seems a bit more reasonable.

Last service, dealer prepared me ahead of time for that. For my 2007, not covered by my maint.

Default Re: New York State inspection is once every year!

yup... they check ODBC and everything, wipers (at least they are suppose to), brakes and lights.

I think it's the same as all other 49 States in the U.S.A.

P.S. Your milage estimate is pretty much accuate! Only a bit above 11000 miles here.
