Default Help with MMI on 2008 audi Q7

My MMI slowing has been going out, It would be fine then all of a sudden it would just shut off. Did this intermittently for a few weeks, Now it will not come on at all. Was told to replace my circuit board in center console, That did not work, any ideas. Thanks

Is it the screen only (audio still plays thru radio) or the entire MMI system is not functional?

Entire MMI system. I know it is not the fuse, I checked that. I am thinking the MMI Control Module

Any codes showing up on a scan? Intermittent can mean a failing part in the circuit boards (caps and resistors for example on their last leg may fail as they heat up), but often they just stop working all together. I usually think first of a loose wire or a wire that is rubbed through its insulation and is shorting out. If you noticed that vibration or jolts would trigger the behavior I might start looking over the connectors and wires as a first procedure before replacing hardware because you may end up replacing the hardware and still not fix it.

I think someone mentioned certain failed modules can create a dead MMI also.

When I ran a scan, the module could not be found, I am guessing because it was off? Also, I do not know if this helps, but after I installed the new circuit board and turn push the volume button to turn on, the Audi MMI flash screen displays for a few seconds then shuts off

The mmi had issues after you change the batt? Is your q7 with the panoramic rooftop?

I thought I read somewhere you need to recode the battery after changing it if the old one was low voltage or MMI and other problems like not fully charging could occur?
