Hasser --

Unfortunately, I don't have a spec for these bulbs -- there are no markings on the ones I have. I bet if you emailed David at tunerdomes.com he could provide you with this information.

Good luck!

cheers for the original post.

i have now changed all the interior lights for LEDS, except the ones i am asking about.

i have some on order.

i looked at the thunderdomes website and they look the same as i ordered, but could be different spec even though they look the same.

time will tell, but the car looks much better in all white than dull yellow.

i did it using a credit card, just slide it in under the panel and prize it away, it just unclips.

be careful not to let it drop as its in 2 sections, the inner part and then the wider outer section.

oh and definately put something across the seats as said originally, i didnt bother and lo and behold one of the bulbs is lost forever in the black hole under the seats!!

i just used the card around the outside (main) piece.

slid it all the way round and the whole thing just popped off. you will need to get your fingers beneath the piece to help pull it down.

just be careful as the inner piece will drop along with it.

it should be easy enough.

Thanks muski!! You made the switch easy.

Everything works when ignition is on. However, when ignition is off

2nd row map lights flash once when turned on then stay off. I think they worked before with ignition off
Front map lights flicker when turned on with ignition off.
Glove box flashes once then stay off when opened with ignition off.

Anyone else see this, any suggestions?

Thanks for the hints. Using your credit card trick I was able to quickly remove the map light panel on my '08 TT and install LED lights.

I just checked this and found the same behavior. If you close the doors and wait a few minutes the lights do go dim, but as soon as you open the door everything comes back bright. I never tested this with the regular bulbs, so I can't say what the normal behavior is. Funny that I never noticed this before, but I rarely sit in the car with the ignition completely off so it never bothered me.
