Hi there. Can anyone point me in the direction of where to buy a cable that actually works for my 2008 Q7? The Amazon/eBay cables don't work becuase the system doesn't recognize it (I think those cables are for newer Audi's)
Will the oem cable from Audi work? Or would it be the same deal. I know there's a specific cable but I don't know the part number or where to buy it... anyone know?
I honestly never even thought of going directly to the website. I always just googled and it was cheap ami cords.. Found one on Audi's website. im going to order the lightning adapter cord.. hopefully it works. It says on Audi's website that it will. So it should
Ordered the OEM AMI to lightning cable... it didn't work (even though on the Audi accesories page it said it would).. ditched that idea... ordered a $10 cord from eBay and it works fine! I only got to use it 1 day because my Amp got ruined the day after I got it. Lol. But it works great for the price. I have all of my music on the screen. And apps like TuneIn work also. Sound quality is perfect too!

where is the world does that cable connect too?? or was that not available in 2007?
I went with a $250 dension gw500s bt single fot which I like much better than this setup.
It adds Bluetooth, direct ipod/iphone jacks, an aux input jack but most importantly adds a USB slot for thumb drives. I dont put music on my phones its a waste of space, need it all for pics and videos, so I have it on thumb drives.
The Dension puts all the controls right into the MMI system by intercepting the data signal between the radio and the CD Changer. It tricks the car into thinking there are more CD slots. one of the slots it adds is a direct connection to whatever is plugged into the Dension and shows up as a browsable CD, so you dont have to look at and touch an ipod/iphone its like changing the radio station etc.
