I think it needs to be a late 2009 onwards, All of these facts are in the manual by the by.

Did you get a V6 or V8? I would have the brakes (pads and rotors) checked. They don't last long on the Q. I am sure at 40K they were probably done around 30K. If you are going to dealer maybe have them blow out the sunroof drains as well.

Thanks for the feedback. Brakes looked good, but need changed in about 10-15k per the mechanic. Said the q7 requires that everything gets replaced - any idea on cost for the service?

$1200-$1300 for dealer to do full brake service...at least at my dealer in NJ.

After hearing people saying an Audi dealer quoted $2600 for front and rear pads and rotors, I would highly recommend that people go to an independent mechanic or do it themselves. When I looked up how much high quality pads and rotors cost, it seemed like it could be done for $500 or less by an indy instead of $1200+ at the stealership.

The Q7 does have expensive brakes, because it really does take a good system to get a 5300-5700 lb car to have braking distances as short as it does.

You can buy aux wire/usb wire or ipod wire , depends on your need to connect
