Default Park Assist Question

Ok - might have a pretty dumb question here but any responses appreciated. Considering the 2017 Q7 but our garage space is pretty tight as far as width. Never driven anything this big (or expensive ) . Question is how helpful the park assist would be both entering the garage and reversing. I see the videos online where it navigates the painted lines of a parking lot well but nothing as far as garage walls.

thanks for any input, peter

This is the first gen Q7 forum, but anyway, considering the new one is somewhat similar in size to the 4L (first gen), parking them should be similar, and to be honest, out of every vehicle I've driven, the Audi is the best size and easiest to park SUV I've driven, I could park it without park assist, so really, the more park assist features you have, the merrier. The 2017 Q7 is loaded with parking features and they would be most certainly helpful for driving in/out of the garage. With the 360° view, you will be able to see how much room is between each side of the vehicle and the walls, just like parking in parking spaces as you said. Good luck! :-)

If your garage is that narrow to start with, then consider whether you can actually open the door to get out the car once you've put it into the garage!

The actual Q7 dimensions will be on the Audi website, it may be worth taking some garage measurements and comparing.

I can get my S7 through my garage door, just. But l couldn't get an RS7 in because it has flared front fenders. The garage itself opens out once past the door openings.
